Makeup Application Lessons / Training

Collective Group Courses

Come together with an intimate group of 6-10 women in a local studio space for a day filled with laughs, food & fun while learning some new skills!

Lesson 1: All about that Base! 

(Saturday) 4-5hrs

​

- Introductions - lets get comfortable & get to know a bit about the ladies around us!

​

-Intro to skin & why it is essential for a flawless makeover (with Jo @ Skin Nurture)

*includes a complimentary basic skin analysis - What skin type are you? What undertone are you?
-I will then go through a demonstration with an open, casual format allowing for questions & answers, many tips + tricks I have picked up over my 7 years as a Pro MUA. The below topics will be covered on Day 1. 
 

-Primer: why it is important & selecting the right one for your skin

-Concealer: Why is this needed? Where do we use it & how much is too much.

-Foundation: Finding an application style that suits you & identifying which type is best for your skin type / desired result. 

-Understanding facial contouring: Finding ways to enhance your best features with highlight, blush & bronzing techniques.

-Removal: Jo will cover makeup removal & a post application skincare routine to ensure your skin health is maintained. 
 

The second half of the day will be over to you (the fun part!) - we will work through what was demonstrated while adapting all to your skin & needs. Jo & I will float around giving pointers & chatting to you - answering any personal makeup & skin questions you may have! The idea is to replicate your experience at home, so that we can identify areas you need more help with. This means you will go home with the skills to actually be able to do this yourself!

A beautiful grazing table will be available all day stocked with all of the 'girls day out' food you could ever dream of! 
 

Samples of products you use & like will be available to take away - I will also have makeup products available to order, but most will be ordered in as I don't regularly stock these products (free shipping to you once your order arrives).

I recommend you bring your makeup bag, using what you have where possible so we can ensure our looks are able to be recreated at home!

Lesson 2: Eyes
(Sunday) 4hrs 

Let's go through a demonstration with an open, casual format allowing for questions & answers, many tips + tricks I have picked up over my 7 years as a Pro MUA. The below topics will be covered on Day 2. 

-Primer - Understanding what an eye primer is & why it is so important. 

-Intro to eyeshadow - understanding your eye shape & how to enhance it using the correct colours. Understanding which colours compliment your skin & eyes!
- We will go through two easy-to-understand shadow shapes.. I will demonstrate both - The Halo & 1,2,3 Technique. First, I will apply tones appropriate for daytime wear & finish the look by adding depth to transition the same eye to an evening look!

-Lashes & Liner - I will demonstrate how to apply false lashes, something most struggle with - you will finish the day being able to apply yours with ease! I will also cover how to use eyeliner to enhance your eyes. This includes waterlining + tightening & lid lining (cat eye). 

In the second half of the day, you will get the chance to work through what was demonstrated (the fun part!) while adapting all to your eye shape, with my guidance where required. We will first do a daytime eye then an evening one! I will float around giving pointers & chatting to you - answering any personal makeup questions you may have! The idea is to replicate your experience at home, so that we can identify areas you need more help with. This means you will go home with the skills to actually be able to do this yourself!

An open help-yourself formatted grazing table will be available all day including light lunch, snacks & drinks.
 

Each of you will go home with a free set of false lashes & I will also have makeup products available to order though most will be ordered in as I don't regularly stock these products (free shipping to you once your order arrives).
