How does it work?

Via Osmosis, pigment is lifted up and out of the skin, as opposed to it primarily being absorbed back into it, as is the case with laser removal for example. Heavy scabs will form containing the trapped pigment, thus the pigment is removed when the scabs fall off resulting in a lighter tattoo. Essentially, we are going to open the skin with the tattooing technique and create channels for pigment to be released through, while also implanting the saline solution into the skin with the unwanted ink, resulting in desired lift and removal over a course of sessions.

Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment can be a long process and patience is often required. This is true whether you are choosing Li-FT or laser. Please be patient and give the process a fair chance to work. Expect visible and wanted results in 1 to 5-6+ sessions unless otherwise discussed. How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result. Sometimes, a combination of Saline AND Laser removal is required. I have a referral system with FADE the skin laser lab.  In many cases only a percentage of the pigment needs to be lightened/removed and then we can continue the correction process by colour correcting or colour shifting. In those cases where we have pigment misplaced or in an unwanted area, colour correcting will not be an option and removing as much of the pigment as possible will be our ultimate goal. Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed.
